In 2019, we, along with my parents, began to plan the ultimate anniversary gift to ourselves (our 10th, their 50th!!). After ruling out every place we'd been before, every place that doesn't use our alphabet, and every place that had the potential to go to war, we decided on Rick Steves' Best of Munich, Salzburg, and Vienna in 8 Days.

 

The decision was made. The date was set...

Then came COVID. Which was, shall we say, inconvenient.

Fast forward two years. We all managed to survive lockdown with our health, sanity, and marriages intact. We decided to try again. We dusted off our walking shoes, learned a smattering of German, and boostered up.

 

 It was worth the wait.

Here is my best attempt to bottle and store the discoveries, the adventures, and the smorgasbord of new experiences, both to share them with you and to revisit them myself.
